Baur au Lac Unveils $50-Million Update
Zurich's home away from home for royalty, presidents and the jet set for more than 165 years completes a $50-million renovation this summer. The centerpiece of Baur au Lac's transformation is Pierre-Yves Rochon’s redesign of the hotel’s beloved Pavillon Restaurant and its adjoining Terrasse. The once-
seasonal Pavillon is now open year-round and affords a romantic dining experience in a tranquil park setting, while the al fresco Terrasse has been polished into a chic and informal indoor-outdoor space ideal for drinks, dining and people watching throughout the summer.
Thirty-two of Baur au Lac’s rooms and suites have been reconfigured into 22 larger suites, junior suites and deluxe double rooms. All suites now feature Bose sound systems, and guest rooms are equipped with flat-screen television, iPod docking stations, free wireless internet and mini-bars.
Through August 31, you can experience the “new” Baur au Lac at a special, value-filled weekend rate.
