Lake Como's CastaDiva Resort To Open May 2010
Elite Luxury Travel is pleased to announce the addition of CastaDiva Resort. Opening in May 2010, this intimate new resort by the Tais Collection will grace the shores of Italy’s Lake Como, offering 75 expansive guest rooms and suites – each one affording spectacular lake views -- in a selection of nine neoclassical-style villas tucked with a serene garden setting. Among these will be CastaDiva’s centerpiece, the historic Villa Roccabruna, once the residence of opera singer and Bellini muse Giuditta Pasta.
Every aspect of CastaDiva will reflect its historic connection with the world of opera (the setting did, after all, inspire Bellini’s Norma and La Sonnambula), from the names of its villas to the dancing fountain that will enchant guests every evening in a display of lights and water set to operatic arias.
Other features will include a magnificent floating pool over Lake Como, two restaurants showcasing Italian specialties, and a 1,300-square-meter spa featuring a relaxation zone with a glass floor suspended over a historic, 19-century dock.
CastaDiva is located in the charming lakeside village of Blevio, just five kilometers from the town of Como.
