DINING
Alain Ducasse has created an extraordinary dining experience at Andéols, one that celebrates the best of Provence, from its rich culinary heritage to the incredible array of fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs that thrive here. Vine-ripened tomatoes, beans, apricots and figs from the inn’s own garden share the stage with the region’s famed Lubéron lamb and plenty of wild herbs.
The refined décor and modern lines of the inn’s restaurant serve as the perfect backdrop for the intense flavors and aromas presented on each plate. In the summer months, guests can enjoy a memorable evening dining by candlelight under the stars.
SPORTS AND LEISURE
On the grounds
Domaine des Andéols offers two swimming pools – one outdoor pool overlooking the spectacular Provencal landscape, and one heated indoor pool. Guests can indulge in a pampering massage or a relaxing soak at the inn’s Turkish bath, or take a cooking lesson under the tutelage of a Ducasse-trained chef in Andéols’ kitchen.
Sports nearby
The countryside and villages surrounding Andéols offer plenty of recreational diversions for guests. Tennis, golf and horseback riding are all available nearby, along with bike excursions, rock climbing, archery, an observation site for birds of prey, and hot-air ballooning.
Excursions
Andéols is ideally situated near Avignon, the former papal seat, surrounded by the finest attractions of Provence. Colorful markets and local wineries abound, as do annual festivals that draw visitors from around the world, including the Avignon Theatre Festival, Aix-en-Provence Festival, the Gypsy festival at Saintes-Maries de la Mer, and more. The region is also rich in historic and cultural sites, from the museums of Marseilles to the famous Antique Market of l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.
