Whymper 2 Bedroom Suite
Luxury suite on the 6th floor, all with two bedrooms, lounge, bathroom and separate toilet, large balcony and stunning views of the Zermatt mountain world. (approx. 115 m² )

Monte Rosa Standard Suite
All suites with a breathtaking view of the unique and singular Matterhorn, plus bedroom, lounge, bathroom and separate toilet (approx. 45m²) - some Standard Suites also comprise a balcony.

Matterhorn Open Suite
Refurbished rooms, with views of the Zermatt mountain world, open-plan bedroom and lounge, 2 bathrooms. (approx. 40-55m²)

Deluxe Twin-bedded room
Edelweiss with views of the Rothorn and Mischabel mountain chain, generously sized bedroom with seating corner and sofa (approx. 35m²)

SUPERIOR Twin-bedded Room
Enzian with stunning east, north or west-side views of the Zermatt mountain backdrop (approx. 28m2) - some Superior Double Rooms with a small balcony.

Alpenrose Standard Double Room
Very quiet rooms at the rear of the hotel, but with no views (approx.23m²)

The Hotel Monte Rosa’s rich history dates back to 1839, when it opened with three rooms as the first inn in Zermatt, a Swiss Alpine resort town at the foot of the Matterhorn.
